Looks like my latest draft chapter (on Judith & Sylvanus Smith) has boosted the book's page count big time. My post on Feb. 8 said "Up to 112 pages today, 28,000 words." Now I am up to 144 pages, 37,331 words. Remember, this includes lots of footnotes, which I hope to slim down a lot later. Still, it looks like well over 200 pages in final print. Who would have thought that when I started this? Not me!
