North River book debut

Writer: LyleLyle

My new book on the North River debuted at the North River Pop-Up Museum March 8 in Norwell, MA. The event, sponsored by local historical societies and the Protectowire Co., was a big success and drew a huge crowd. I got to engage with a lot of people and show off an advance (proof) copy of the book, along with my four other books. See photo below of my exhibit, one of a dozen at the event.

Other exhibits included a display of wood planes made by the Tolman family of the North River and used in building ships there. Here is a photo of a maker's mark on the toe of the plane. The Tolmans are featured in a chapter in the book by my friend Tom Whalen.

The book should be out at the end of March. So excited!
